JD Sports Supply Chain Transparency Statement

JD Sports and its affiliates support the goals of the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2012 and federal laws prohibiting forced labor in the supply chain, including 19 U.S.C. § 1307 and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA). Accordingly, we have implemented steps to ensure that such illegal behaviors have no presence in our supply chain.

  1. Verification- Our sourcing strategy encourages close collaboration and partnerships with vendors who align with our shared values and comply with the law. Each supplier must complete our prequalification checklist and certify compliance with our Vendor Compliance Manual. JD Sports has a strict policy prohibiting the use of forced or child labor and verification is not conducted by a third party.

  1. Audits-Our suppliers must certify that they will comply with local and federal labor standards and laws and agree to submit to periodic unannounced audits.  We also conduct independent audits of our global suppliers.

  1. Certification- Suppliers are required to comply with our Vendor Compliance Manual and Code of Conduct, as well as certify that they do not engage in human trafficking or forced labor/modern slavery. Furthermore, our suppliers must certify that they will comply with local and federal labor standards and laws.

  1. Internal Accountability- Suppliers may be terminated for breach of our Vendor Compliance Manual and the Code of Conduct. We have a reporting hotline where individuals can report violations without fear of retaliation. Employees are also subject to the Code of Conduct, which requires that each employee comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  1. Training. At this time the Company does not provide detailed training on human trafficking and slavery to employees and management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management; however, all our employees receive training on the Company’s Code of Conduct – which requires compliance with all laws and regulation.

We are expressly opposed to human trafficking and child labor and are committed to the eradication of forced labor and modern slavery. Together, we can bring an end to human trafficking and forced labor/modern slavery in the retail industry.
